The wasp spider ios a species of orb-weaver spider common in most parts of Europe, Asia, and North Africa.
Wasp spiders weave the same sort of web as other orb weaving spiders, but the spider itself looks different.
It does not have the cross pattern on the back but stripes which make it look kind of like a wasp from a distance.
