Mushroom Anemones in the genus Rhodactis are often kept in marine reef aquariums.

Some time ago I wrote about the first bubble-tip anemone that I have ever owned.

Ricordea corallimorphs are the most colorful, and quite possibly some of the most beautiful mushroom anemones.

For some reason the coral Tubastraea micrantha is referred to in English as the black sun coral even though it is obviously green in color.

Time to show how much the coral frags have grown since the last update.

Just a quick update about pieces of corals in my reef aquarium I have posted about recently.

The coral Montipora capricornis is a small polyped stony coral.

This is a photosynthetic gorgonian. Probably belonging to the species Muriceopsis flavida which is known as the purple feather gorgonian or purple brush gorgonian.

It was coral cutting workshop again at the Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto.

Cerianthus tube anemones are not photosynthetic. In fact they are not really anemones either but cousins of the true anemones.

This was my first bubble tip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). It had the most beautiful colors, a kind of metallic green with nice pink tips that really bubbled.

Dendrophyllia corals do not contain zooxanthellae and they do not require light to live.
