The golden-bellied mangabey is an old world monkey from the forest area of the Congo in Africa.

Golden-bellied mangabey (Cercocebus chrysogaster), Budapest Zoo.
The golden-bellied mangabey is a rare monkey endemic to the Congo region, and very little is known about it to science. I took these pictures at the Budapest Zoo, but when I started researching material for this post I could not find anything significant.

The golden-bellied mangabey is certainly a very beautiful monkey, just like its name suggest it has golden yellow fur on its belly.
