The eyelash viper is a beautiful venomous snake from South America.

Eyelash vipers come from a tropical environment so like to live in warm and humid places with lots of foliage. The eyelash viper, like most of its kin, eats small animals such as rodents, lizards, small birds and bats, and even frogs.
Even though the eyelash viper is a venomous snake some people like to keep one as a pet. The bite of the eyelash viper is rarely fatal for a human, nevertheless it requires prompt medical treatment.
