For some reason this European beetle if known as the Green immigrant leaf weevil in North America.
Green leaf weevil (Polydrusus formosus), Milliken Park.
The scientific name is given either as Polydrusus formosus or as Polydrusus sericeus.
These weevils originate in Europe but they managed to get a foothold in North America. The Polydrusus weevil is considered to be a pest since it eats leaves and ruins plants.
