The Vietnamese mossy frog is a tree frog from Vietnam that looks like a piece of mossy rock.
Vietnamese mossy frogs camouflage themselves by pretending to be moss. Vietnamese mossy frogs have a semi-aquatic lifestyle and they like to spend a lot of time in the water in spite of being tree frogs, even have the sticky toe pads to help them climb trees.
The natural habitat of the Vietnamese mossy frogs includes marshlands as well as forested areas.
Vietnamese mossy frogs can be kept as pets and they are considered to be relatively undemanding frogs. There is an increasing number of captive bred Vietnamese mossy frogs in the pet trade which should reduce the number of these frogs taken from the wild. It also drives prices down as wild caught specimens are more expensive.
