The West Caucasian tur is a goat-antelope from the Caucasus mountains.
The Caucasian tur is a goat-like mountain dwelling animal. There are two kinds the West Caucasian tur and the East Caucasian tur, they don’t look the same, the East Caucasian tur has a horn shaped rather differently from the West Caucasian tur. West Caucasian tur males have much larger horns than the females.
They are herbivores. The West Caucasian tur is endangered in the wild mainly due to excessive hunting by humans.
