Spectacled owls are a species of owls from Central and South America.
The specimens in the picture live in the Toronto Zoo in the Americas pavilion.

I just thought they looked interesting and after many tries this was the best picture I have managed to take — wasn’t easy because they are kept in a semi-dark cage made out of some wire mesh with very small holes.
