The United States of America commonly known as “America”, “USA” or simply “U.S.” is a large country located mostly in North America. It is the next door neighbor of Canada.
In spite of what people may think the USA still dominates high-tech development.
Just think about what you use in your everyday life. Your cellphone is probably an Android phone or an iPhone. You are likely to use Facebook and Twitter, search using Google, or Yahoo, or Microsoft’s Bing, use Wikipedia, etc.. All of which are American products.
Before I have moved to Canada I have worked in California in the USA for a few years. While I obviously did not like some aspect of living there (there was a reason why I have moved further north) I do miss the professional environment of Silicon Valley.
