Panamanian golden frogs are critically endangered because of habitat loss and because of chytridiomycosis <\/a>infections spreading through the population. To preserve the species several zoos participate a captive breeding program for Panamanian golden frogs.<\/p>\n\"Panamanian<\/a>\n

Since Panamanian golden frogs are critically endangered you are definitely discouraged to try to get one as a pet, and it could very well be illegal in your jurisdiction.<\/p>\n
