The Indian rhinoceros is a species of rhinoceros from South-East Asia.

\nIndian rhinos are the second largest mammals in their native area after the Asian elephant.<\/p>\n

Rhinos with their thick skin and a horn on their noses remind me of dinosaurs but they are of course mammals. I don’t think most people would want an rhinoceros as a pet.<\/p>\n

In the wild Indian rhinos as considered to be a vulnerable species due to habitat destruction, even through, apart from humans, very few creatures pose any threat at all to an Indian rhino — tigers<\/a> being about the only predators that attack them.<\/p>\n
