It had the most beautiful colors, a kind of metallic green with nice pink tips that really bubbled.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThis is the same specimen as the one seen with a porcelain crab in <a href=\"\/2013\/12\/03\/porcelain-crab-on-bubble-tip-anemone\/\" title=\"Porcelain Crab on Bubble Tip Anemone\">another post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_513\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Bubble-Tip-Anemone.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-513\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Bubble-Tip-Anemone.jpg\" alt=\"A picture of a bubble tip anemone.\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" class=\"size-full wp-image-513\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Bubble-Tip-Anemone.jpg 1024w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Bubble-Tip-Anemone-150x150.jpg 150w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Bubble-Tip-Anemone-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-513\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">My first bubble tip anemone.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This bubble tip anemone has lived in my display tank for about 8 years when they eventually died when the tank has experienced some major problems.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately it has split several times, and I have both sold pieces of it and even gave away some.<\/p>\n<p>I was told at least on one occasion that a bubble tip anemone being sold in a <a href=\"http:\/\/mastcanada.org\/\" title=\"Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto\" target=\"_blank\">Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto<\/a> auction was a piece of this guy. So it has apparently continued to split in other people&#8217;s tanks.<\/p>\n<p>So even if the &#8220;original&#8221; has died there are probably many <a href=\"\/2015\/12\/17\/bubble-tip-anemone-that-lives-on\/\" title=\"Bubble-tip Anemone That Lives On\">copies of this bubble-tip anemone<\/a> still living in various reef aquariums.<\/p>\n<p>Sea anemones don&#8217;t really age, they just get bigger and then split into two.
