In America these are sometimes referred to as quahog<\/a>.<\/p>\n They are mostly used as food. The specimens on the picture were sold for human consumption, alive to ensure freshness.<\/p>\n

\nThey live in cold water so you can’t really keep them as pets in a tropical reef tank.
\nThe most likely place you will see them, unless you live near a cold ocean, is the sea food section of your grocery store.<\/p>\n
