Some time ago I wrote about the first bubble-tip anemone<\/a> that I have ever owned.

I was told that this was a piece of my first bubble tip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor<\/em>). The animal keeps splitting in other people’s tanks. Since it has a lovely color, pieces of it can be sold at a good price.

Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto<\/a> auction.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

I have already posed the philosophical question if an animal is truly dead if pieces of it go on living. While I have lost the anemone some time ago, several copies of it live in other people’s tanks and they occasionally surface at auctions.<\/p>\n

It was one piece allegedly split from another bubble tip anemone that I have sold some years ago.<\/p>\n
