Lacewings are delicate looking flying insects in the order Neuroptera<\/a>.

A lacewing, most likely a green lacewing (Chrysopa perla<\/em>), B\u00e9k\u00e9scsaba<\/a>, Hungary<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

A green lacewing is somewhat similar to the adult insect form of an antlion<\/a> but of a smaller and more delicately built.<\/p>\n

Both larval and adult lacewings like to eat aphids and other small insects and mites. With their voracious appetite lacewings can be employed as biological pest control.<\/p>\n
