The three-toed box turtle is a subspecies of the same box turtle species as the recently posted Florida box turtle<\/a>. Three-toed box turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis<\/em>), at the Toronto Reptile Expo<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n Three-toed box turtles are probably even more common in the pet trade than other subspecies of Terrapene carolina<\/em>. They do adapt well to captivity, in fact many specimens in the pet trade are captive bred.<\/p>\n
