The burrowing owl is a very small ground dwelling owl from the grasslands of North and South America.

Burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia<\/em>), Budapest Zoo<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n Burrowing owl do live on the ground where, unlike most other owls, they tend to hunt in the day time.
