In spite of its name the marsh gladiolus does not really grow in marshes.

Marsh gladiolus (Gladiolus palustris<\/em>) in Hungary<\/a>, in a nature reserve near M\u00f3rahalom<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

The marsh gladiolus mostly grows in meadows in various places in Europe. In Hungary<\/a> where this picture was taken its habitat is very limited, so it is no surprise that the meadow where it grows was designated a nature reserve.<\/p>\n
