The City Park (V\u00e1rosliget<\/em>) is a large park in Budapest located next to H\u0151s\u00f6k tere<\/a><\/em> (Heroes’ Square) and the Budapest Zoo<\/a>.
\n<\/p>\n

The park features various various buildings from previous centuries still in good shape and daily use as well as some more modern ones.<\/p>\n

\"Vajdahunyad<\/a>

Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadv\u00e1r<\/em>). This castle was built to resemble medieval castles, but it is not in fact a historical castle. The Vajdahunyad Castle<\/a> was built just for show for the 1000 year anniversary of Hungary<\/a> in 1896.<\/p><\/div>\n

There is even an ice skating rink.

\"City<\/a>

City Park Ice Rink<\/a> (V\u00e1rosligeti M\u0171j\u00e9gp\u00e1lya<\/em>) located between the Vajdahunyad Castle and Heroes’ Square<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

At the opposite end of the park (from Heroes’ Square and the Budapest Zoo) there is a hall suitable for hosting various events.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Recycled<\/a>

Pet\u0151fi Hall<\/a> (Pet\u0151fi Csarnok<\/a><\/em>) with its old sign recycled (the other side had a hand written sign advertising a flee market held in the hall’s front yard).<\/p><\/div>\n
